“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
As the angels said to the shepherds near Bethlehem on the birth of Jesus, let me wish for you in the New Year that your life and all you do would glorify God, and that you will know the peace that only His presence can give.
Thank you again to Don, Patsy, and Wesley Morrison for the last few years of ministry and friendship. The positive impact and servant spirit you have exhibited will last beyond your time here. Your fellowship will be greatly missed. This is not "goodbye" just "see you later."
Let me express my gratitude to all of you who participated in the dinner theater whether by working, attending, or praying. Because of your efforts it was an unqualified success. We sold more tickets than in any of the last four years, and most importantly, based on response cards, many spiritual decisions were made.
Thank you to our Children's Choirs and their teachers for a wonderful concert and live nativity on the evening of December 11th. We look forward to resuming our Wednesday night schedule on January 4th.
Thank you to all of you who participate in the music ministry at First Baptist, whether in the congregation, choir, instrumentalists, or teachers. You are a blessing to the Lord and to others in our fellowship!
As a postscript, thank you to the deacon body for an extra week of vacation for 2011. It seems as I get older the more recuperation time I need!
Onward and upward,
